A few days ago, as a result of the devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria, many thousands of buildings collapsed and thousands of people were left homeless, injured and killed. May Allah Ta'ala help the afflicted, grant complete healing to the injured, forgive those who lost their lives and remove the worries of the distressed people. There are some wisdoms about the occurrence of earthquakes which can only be understood by living believers. Listed Some tips and reasons are mentioned below.

1. A reminder of the earth's blessed peace
This earth is a part of the universe created by Allah Ta'ala and is a great sign of Allah's might and power and it is the only sphere of the universe in which countless resources and blessings are provided for the survival of life. As Allah says:
Allah made the earth a firmament and the heavens a structure for you. translation "Allah is He who made the earth a place for you and the sky a roof"
There are countless blessings of Allah Almighty in this universe and one of the greatest blessings of Allah is this earth on which we walk, it is a place for us to live. Allah has made this land blessed and submissive and stable for us. This earth makes man and all living beings happy in life and even after death it covers them. All the needs of man, food, drink and clothing etc. are all related to the earth, if Allah Almighty did not have this quality in it, no living thing could survive here. This has been mentioned in many places in the Quran.
According to research, although the earth is rotating, as Allah Almighty says:
And everyone in your planet is glorified translation "And each one swims in his circle"
Commentators write in the commentary of this verse that in this verse, Allah first mentioned only the sun and the moon, then he used the word total, which is used for collection. It shows that all the other planets except the Sun and the Moon are also rotating rapidly in the atmosphere. Since Earth is also a planet, it is also rotating. But in spite of this, for thousands of years, all the creatures living on it have been able to enjoy the peace and tranquility that is the basic need of the young man's life. This stability and peace has been given to the earth by Allah in the form of gravity, which is the most important blessing among the countless blessings of the creator of the universe. In order to make people realize this blessing, Madbarakainat sometimes sends earthquakes to the earth to give a sense of peace and tranquility through it.
2. Manifestation of divine power and majesty
These calamities, temptations, earthquakes and signs are among the laws and signs of Allah Ta'ala in the universe, and are clear signs of His might, power and majesty and evidence of human weakness, no matter how powerful they are. Therefore, the second wisdom of earthquakes is the expression of the perfect power of Allah and the greatness of the Lord that everything in the world is in His power, and their affairs are in the hands of Allah. He is Able to do all this, so avoid disobedience to Him, or you will suffer a devastating chastisement. As Allah says:
Say: He is the Almighty, that He will send upon you a punishment from above you, or from under your feet, or clothe you as a Shia and a sacrifice. See how the verses are arranged so that they may understand them. translation Say: He is able to punish you from above or from beneath your feet, or divide you into sects and make some of you taste the fight of others. See how we interpret the verses. are So that they (people) can understand?"
And when the punishment of Allah Ta'ala comes upon a nation, no power in the world can stop it, nor can the knowledge development of a nation save them from it, nor can modern devices of a nation help them in this regard. But Allah says:
We will show them Our verses in the horizon and in their souls until it becomes clear to them that He is the Truth and does not stop with your Lord. َهِيدٌ translation Soon We will show them Our signs in the ends of the world and in their souls, until it becomes clear to them that this is the truth, and is not your Lord enough that He is a witness over everything.
This means that if we consider the proofs of the existence of Allah and His Oneness, which are found in all the universes, i.e. the earth and the sky, for example, the sun, the moon, plants, animals, etc. and which are found in the nature of man himself, for example, From sperm to birth, then from childhood to death, then on the amazing structure of their existence, about the wonders of which new discoveries will be made every day, then they will be sure that Allah is the Truth.
3. Scaring the servants of divine punishment
One of the wisdoms of earthquakes is to scare the servants of Allah from divine punishment and to remind them of their accountability before the Lord so that people repent of their sins and mistakes.
Undoubtedly, Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ali is All-Knowing and Wise in His judgment, Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala creates His signs as He wills and then He manifests these signs on the earth for the purpose of warning and admonishing His servants. And through these signs, He reminds His servants of the orders He has made obligatory, and it indicates that people should turn away from their sins. Hear advice and admonishment. Do not oppose Allah's order and do not indulge in the sin and disobedience that has been prevented.
4. Deliverance from the Hereafter
One of the wisdom of earthquakes is that it is a salvation for Muslims from the punishment of the Hereafter and a source of mercy in this world, as Hazrat Abu Musa Ash'ari (RA) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:
May Allah have mercy on this Ummah of mine. He will not be punished in the Hereafter, but his punishment in this world will be in the form of temptations, earthquakes and murder. In one hadith, there is mention of a volcano at the place of murder. So it was narrated from Hazrat Abu Musa (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:
The Ummah of the late Ummah has no punishment in the Hereafter.

My Ummah has been shown mercy, it is not punished in the Hereafter, its punishment is in the form of calamities, earthquakes and volcanoes in this world.
That is, the intolerable punishment of the Hereafter, i.e. severe, permanent, painful and humiliating, is for the unbelievers and the hypocrites, but the temporary and bearable punishment in the form of temptations, earthquakes and murders due to sins, befalls all the infidels and Muslims, which is the Hereafter for Muslims. The days of Reckoning and Book are the cause of saving from punishment and the cause of Allah's mercy for His believing servants in the world.
5. Reminder of the Day of Resurrection
One of the wisdom of earthquakes is that they remind the believers of the Great Earthquake of the Last Day, that no one will be safe on that great day except those who have made a means for their salvation. Thus, Allah Almighty says.
O people, fear your Lord. translation "People! Fear your Lord, surely the earthquake on the Day of Resurrection is a great thing." Because when the Day of Judgment comes, the earth will shake and tremble and an earthquake will occur. As Allah Almighty says: If the earth rested, and the mountains rested, translation "The day the earth will be shaken with all its might and the mountains will be thrown down."
"Raj al-Arza" refers to an earthquake in the earth.
From this verse it is known that the strength and stability of the earth is a blessing from Allah because He is the one who establishes it and He is the one who keeps it firm and He reminds His servants of earthquakes through this blessing.
6. A sign of resurrection
Earthquakes are among the many signs of the Day of Resurrection. Therefore, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
Do not wait until the knowledge takes hold, and the earthquakes increase, and the time approaches, and the temptations appear, and the chaos - which is the killing - increases until it increases in you. Al-Maal Fayyez. translation "The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said that the Day of Judgment will not come until the knowledge of religion is raised and there are many earthquakes, and time will not pass quickly, and mischief will break out, there is much mischief. This is murder, between murder and you there will be so much wealth that it will boil."
7. The truthfulness of the Holy Quran and the truthfulness of the Prophet ﷺ
One of the wisdom of earthquakes is that the atheists and irreligious people should investigate in their own ways and accept the truthfulness of the Quran and the truth of Muhammad ﷺ that earthquakes are signs of the Day of Judgment and that the occurrence of these signs is the authenticity and miracle of the Holy Quran and that the Prophet ﷺ is the true messenger and prophet of God. There is a reason to be because the Prophet ﷺ has stated in his commandments that these things will be abundant in the last times. Explain. As in the Holy Qur'an, Allah the Exalted said:
And you would not read before him from a book, and you would not cross it with your oath, lest it be invalidated. translation "And (O Prophet!) before that you could neither read a book nor write with your own hand. If that were the case, the believers would have been suspicious." Therefore, about earthquakes, Allah swore in the Holy Qur'an and said: And the sky that returns, and the earth that has a rift, it is a saying that separates translation "By the raining sky and by the cracked earth, verily this (Qur'an) is the decisive word."
In this verse, Allah Ta'ala has sworn by the exploding earth, scientists and scholars through research found such a field (smooth and fertile) underground where the explosive condition occurs and it is the center of most earthquakes in the world.
